About us
We are here to help students learn Japanese
“TOMOSHIBI” means “light of hope“, in Japanese.
TOMOSHIBI ACADEMY for Japanese Language and Culture was established in August 2025 to support young people in Bangladesh who are interested in Japan and eager to learn Japanese language and culture.
Our Japanese Language Courses
N5 Level Japanese Course
At the N5 level, students learn the basics of daily conversation, such as greetings and the minimum level of conversation required for daily life. In addition, students practice reading and writing Hiragana, Katakana, and important Kanji characters. We focus on developing conversational skills as much as possible in our classes. While it is possible to apply to TITP at the N5 level, many candidates study hard up to the N4 level in order to pass interviews at Japanese companies.
N4 Level Japanese Course
At the N4 level, you can make business-related promises, make confirmations, express your wishes and opinions to a certain extent in Japanese, and hold short conversations properly. It is quite difficult to study for a job in Japan without the ability of N4 or above. Furthermore, by learning kanji, you will be able to read signs and signboards and understand some of the contents of documents. In order to pass the TITP, you need N4 level Japanese, and in the case of SSW, you need to pass the official N4 level exam.
SSW Course
The SSW is a system for accepting human resources who have a good understanding of Japanese and have acquired the minimum necessary skills, allowing them to work with better conditions. To apply for this system, you must pass the N4 level Japanese language test and also pass the technical test for the job you are interested in. This course provides supplementary support for Japanese language, as well as learning Japanese and the technical content required for the technical test. Currently under construction, we are planning to offer courses in agriculture, nursing care, building maintenance, construction, and driving that can be taken in Bangladesh.

Our best service experiences
At TOMOSHIBI ACADEMY, we believe it is important to acquire the Japanese conversation skills necessary for work, and we therefore place an emphasis on listening and speaking skills in our lessons. We also believe that the JFT examination system, which allows students to take exams every month, is appropriate for those aiming to become TITP and SSW. The textbook we use for this purpose is "Irodori," developed by the JAPAN FOUNDATION. "Irodori" is available free of charge online, and is very easy to understand as it uses many diagrams and audio and teaches from everyday life scenes. In addition, each lesson has clear CAN-Dos, making it easy to check your own progress in learning.
